We're in this together!
Will You help us reach our goal?
This is a BRAND NEW biblical translation of the New Covenant developed from the 27th NA Greek Manuscripts.
This team of 24 professionals are being funded entirely by donations. We have raised over $140,000 and have been working for two years. God continues to miraculously provide one offering at a time.
This new, vetted text will be the sole property of our not-for-profit company and will never be altered without our express permission. Once finished, Destiny Image, our exclusive publisher, will promote it in a variety of publications. The entire TLV Bible will be ready by 2013.

Brand New Professionally Vetted Text: We have rendered a brand new English translation of the New Covenant using the 27th
Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece and over a dozen additional resources including
every main stream vetted English translation. Plus, we especially enjoyed
learning from the work of the HNV scholars and the work of David Stern in the Complete
Jewish Bible. Our goal was to render a messianic sensitive text that would
be as accurate as the NASB, as reverent as the NKJV and as readable as the NIV.
We hope our effort is worthy of the great and mighty God we serve. We stand
in awe of His Name.
-
Messianic Illustrations: In an age of visual media, having new art
pieces to enjoy with our young family members is paramount. Many of the traditional
biblical scenes we have grown up with needed refreshing in light of the dawning
revelation of the Jewish roots of our shared Messianic faith in Yeshua (Jesus).
Enjoy!
-
Cross Referencing Footnotes: We use footnotes in this bible for three important
helps. First, we noted every time the author was pointing you to a verse from
the Tanakh (Old Covenant). We also use them to note variances in the
manuscripts. Lastly, we make occasional notes that provide a better understanding
about biblical units of weights and measures.
-
Inspiring Book Introductions: These new introductions give special
attention to the context of the author's work by providing the reader with the time
frame and circumstances of each book. Knowing who is writing to whom, at what
point in their spiritual journey, is very helpful for properly understanding the
lessons in each book.
-
Storytelling Headings: The headings are especially interesting.
The "A Look into..." pages tell the story of each book. It helps to see each
book as unique and will help greatly when trying to find the last section of text
you were using for inductive learning. This is a gentle alternative to deductive
line-by-line study. But, don't worry, we still numbered each verse for avid
scholars.
-
Unique Glossary: Instead of a concordance, we chose to provide a glossary
to explain the specific vocabulary that makes this bible so exciting. There
are many words used in bibles that people skip over or wrongly define internally
by how it is used in a sentence. Without a clear definition between us, there
may often be a lack of shared understanding with our audience. We hope this
helps.
-
Hebrew Word Choices: The Jewish authors of the New Covenant were trying
to communicate Hebraic concepts about faith and practice using Aramaic and ancient
Greek. We wanted to introduce our TLV English readers to lost Hebraic
understanding using Hebrew words you can sound out with English letters - that's
called Hebrew TRANSLITERATION. You will enjoy learning Hebrew!
-
Family Friendly Vocabulary: This bible is designed for adults and youth
to enjoy together. The majority of vocabulary choices are at about a current
10th grade reading level. We sought to provide a reasonable perimeter to encourage
both family devotionals and advanced scholarship. Complicated language does
not make a bible more scholarly. The concepts are for all ages.
-
Maps & Charts: We included two maps of the Holy Land, how it may
have looked during Yeshua's journey in Luke and how that land is measured today
when this book is published. And, we included maps of Paul's travels throughout the Middle East Area. Plus, we put in a messianic prophecy chart to explore
the Jewish scriptures that point to Yeshua's claims.
-
Liturgies & Prayers: You will find a handful of very popular synagogue
prayers for worship and blessings during services including the Aaronic Benediction
and the Sabbath Prayers.
